Some of my Vintage wares for sale.
This is me all set up at Hatherleigh Market, it was quite chilly but there was so much going on it was a great distraction. Loved the old Gypsie caravan and the food hall was a delight on the taste buds, met some great people with a variety of goodies on sale, will be doing this one again!

It's that time again where I'm in anticipation of my next Vintage fair and only a week to go. This is the first market I will be doing and the first time outside! The weather at mo is appalling! rain, wind, gloomy basically BUT have to keep positive and just go for it:) I've borrowed a gazebo and managed to dodge the rain to put it up by myself, which was quite quick really, thank goodness it's a popup one. I have tonnes of space too so more tables are needed. I also have my terrific friend Jo to help me on the day, she's such a star! will take photo's and put on here when Iv'e recovered! xx
Am loving these rustic vintage tea cups and saucer set of a robin and holly, just ideal for Christmas and there are 11 of them. Will be taking them to Ruby Country Market next Saturday :)

Vintage handmade ladies nightie bag and a tissue holder purse of a hand painted oriental lady with tiny beads which have been sewn on. Somebody must of spent hours making it. Beautiful!
This is a gorgeous Vintage bed chamber pot cupboard that I picked up from Yelverton at the weekend. It has the pot rim marks inside so it's had good use! yes it is clean and no it doesn't smell! Not quite sure what to do with it but I love it. A handy piece of furniture to have for any room :)
I think this is going to be a cracker of an event! The biggest one I'm doing and I'm braving it outside with my stall!! I can't wait, am borrowing a table and gazebo and will be wrapped in thermals, nice. So if you want a great day out with lots to do and see, then visit us here at Ruby Country Market in Hatherleigh on Saturday 1st December.

This is a typical serene country scene of a vintage Birthday greetings postcard. I adore it. On the bottom it says "It is your Birthday, so I'm sending, Wishes of the very best, That to you there may be wending, All that makes life glad and best". 'wending'?
I don't know what it is about old vintage postcards of ladies, they just look so....innocent? clean? but definitely beautiful.
It's that time of the year & we're all talking about Christmas (unless your a Johova) I picked up these delightful vintage postcards dated from 20s/40s which have sweet messages on the backs. Love the old English way they wrote, so polite and proper.

Ok here I am again, It was my niece's wedding in September, I offered to display her wedding tables & was pretty chuffed if I say so myself (just as well because I'm the only one who looks at this site) I wanted to take lots of photos of the hall before anyone came in to eat but when I checked on the place with my sister Tina, we found her stunning wedding cake on the floor! Surprising how calm I was as she nearly flipped out & all the staff decided to disappear, after picking it up and fiddling with it a bit you would never of known what had just happened. Anyway these are the before and after pics..
This Vintage and Handmade fair organised by the lovely Lynne James, great to meet up with fellow friends...
My stall up and ready for business on Saturday in Taunton. I wanted to go for pinks, browns and green colours for a rustic vintage look as It's more suited to my kind of style, happy bunny:))
Andy my gorgeous guy found this old wooden crate which I used for my stall, it still has the rusty nails on so I can hang these beads, love it!

Have had an epiphany today that I like the Rustic look more! watch out next stall, I'm gonna change you....
My lovely friend Delia and her husband to be John, They kept me going and helped me to pack away all my stuff as it went a bit mental at the end! Huge thanks guys xx
This is me at the Exeter Vintage fair. Thought I would change my look after buying this 60s dress recently. I feel more at home in this look. it was an interesting experience in a bigger fair!
Guess I've been neglecting my diary for a while, well it's been pretty crazy in my life at the moment and have a couple of crazy months coming up: moving house, family over from USA the end of this month, my Nieces wedding and doing more vintage fairs. Talking of vintage fairs (and I'm just sounding out to myself) I did one on Saturday in Exeter. It was the biggest Iv'e done so far. Have come to the conclusion that the Vintage pros work on the Vintage newbies and therefore sell on the goods that they have bought from you on their stall. well I guess that's how it works, although it's harsh - (that's my honest opinion).

Something else I enjoy doing is making posters for family parties. These are for my brothers 40th fancy dress "hero and villain's" do. yes I know he's gonna be 40 but as kids we grew up watching sci-fi and the old Batman series which were addictive and fun. There are about 86ish action words used in the series and I picked a handful to draw and paint.
Can't wait to be at the "Vintage at the Village" - A Nostalgic Vintage Fair, Sunday 2nd September, Puriton Village Hall, starts 10am - 4pm. cool!!
More displays of my stall at Topsham Vintage Fair. I'm determined someone will buy the gorgeous immaculate vintage crocodile skin handbag!!
Part of my stool at the Topsham Vintage Fair, Exeter on Bank holiday Monday 27th August. It went well and met some great characters. Jo Bliss www.palookatees.co.uk made us laugh all through the day with her witty banter and honest approach to life experiences, I loved her stock of old advertised pictures printed onto cards and T-shirts, I'm sure she will do well in the Isle of Man Vintage Fair coming up soon, you go girl!!

I was so lucky to find this 60s/70s long beaded necklace in Plymouth yesterday. The Orange colour is very striking!

After doing what I like best.. rummaging in boxes at car boot sales, I came across this vintage handmade Ballerina brooch, as always I'm astounded by the workmanship that has gone into making such a delicate piece.
Ain't these cute? adorable vintage children's playing cards. There are 39 all together, 4 of each apart from 3 of the "The gentle Art" ones, which are probably rare! Thank you to my mate Jo for these as they belonged to her grandmother and she had fond memories of playing with them as a child.
I'm a big fan of tins and couldn't resist this Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI biscuit tin, bought in Cornwall last week.
Antique Majolica Green dolphin Tazza compote dish. Thank you to my brother Dan and his partner Ali for buying this for me. Cheers my dears! :)
