I have now made another Facebook page; Cybel's Vintage. If you like what you see here, please like there and pass on the vintage love! Thank you kind people xx
I'm not a religious person but when I saw the Vintage print of this floral crucifix in the middle of this picture, all covered in dirt and dust I had to have it. The saying is;
"What glorious light!
How bright a sun after so sad a night
Does now begin to dawn". by Jeremy Taylor.
Some pictures of my gazebo set up in March for trade at Hatherleigh Market, Devon. My gorgeous partner Andy made the Cybel's Vintage sign for me! bless xx

Well I've been busy getting my table ready for my first Vintage fair of the year, It's been a bit slow I know but am so looking forward to it as it's in my home town of Taunton and it's being organised by the lovely kind hearted Delia May West of deedeesvintageretrodelights.blogspot.com There's always a friendly buzz in the air and lots of fun to catch up on other sellers and meet new ones.
I have this unusual Vintage candle lamp but don't know much about the origins, it looks hand held and has vents at the top, if anyone has any idea please let me know! :)

So many shells! |
Just think of the hours someone has gone through to cover this bottle in tiny shells and bits of worn glass, I added the Retro orange lamp shade I already had.

This one I ummed and ahhed about for a while, I have no idea why, the painting on this vintage rice paper fan is exquisite of the oriental pheasant and goldfish with cherry blossom, love it!
There's some things I look at and admire but not very often I get the chance to purchase, like this Vintage rice paper bamboo Japanese parasol I found recently. I admire the artwork and the picture of Cherry blossom and cranes, simply gorgeous!
Now I don't normally go for clothes but when I saw this one I just had to have it! A 60's tan Leather men's jacket by John Lee of England, such a soft leather with a few knicks on the left arm but for something that is about 50 years old it's fab! I found an old bus ticket inside the pocket for a day trip to Plymouth for 75p!
Now this took me back to my childhood as I had one of these in the 70's, a cute vintage child's pram, such good condition and everything works, it looks like it hasn't been played with at all! will be selling this one.
I came across this stunning Vintage print named "Tigress" by a British artist Michael Johnson, measures 26"x20" in a off white frame, I will be taking this to sell at my next vintage fair (although am tempted to keep it!)

Some more great finds: I have seven of the round vintage brass door knobs, a fantastic vintage wooden picture frame 19" x 24", a cute brown glass wine goblet and two vintage ornate wall lights that need re-wiring, oh and the rustic wheel I found in a field, it'll be an interesting addition to our garden!

I rescued this cute vintage 50s/60s folding steps from doom! I saw some potential so did plenty of sanding (must remember to take off engagement ring next time) and with a splash of colour here you go. I quite like the rustic look showing through too :)
I know there are only two of these rustic decorative vintage metal table legs but they could look amazing re-done and put up on a wall as a piece of art. Hmmm am thinking about this one....
Absolutely love these gothic looking rustic candle wall holders I picked up recently, soo decorative in the right place. I'm not going to do them up, they're fab as they are!
My latest before & after paint project was this Waring & Gallows Ltd Antique bedside pot cupboard, it has the company name stamped inside with the 'by appointment to the king' & is in great condition, what a handy piece of furniture.

I have 5 of these Make It Easy 1980's mix & match pattern sewing guides, all in great condition and not used. One day I might try it out (or not).
This was our Vintage Christmas tree in our lovely cottage filled with vintage decorations. Now that it's all over I hope 2013 brings a lot of love and happiness to so many people! Hmm, new years resolutions? I'm still thinking!
I found these items in Tavistock yesturday and had to have them! I love the dainty vintage cut glass candle stick holders, which always add a bit of glamour to a table, two antique milk jugs and the vintage ceramic brown patterned chamber pot will look great with a plant in it!
Andy my partner has had this Vintage wooden tool box for years, it was covered in thick black paint but he's stripped and varnished it to make a great Vintage storage box! |
